Welcome to our school and I hope you find our website useful and informative.
School Update January 2021
In light of the Prime Minister's announcement on 4.1.21 regarding a third lockdown due to COVID19, our school is now open for children of key workers and also open online for remote home learning. Further information on this can be found under our 'News and Events' section under COVID19 and also under our Remote Home Learning tab. We remain committed to supporting the learning and well being of all our pupils at this challenging time so we can continue to let our light shine brightly as a school community. If you have any questions or need support then please contact us. Take care and keep safe!
Mrs Sara Boyce
I am very proud to be the Headteacher of High Ash School and enjoy working with the children, staff, parents, Church and wider community to ensure we can be the very best we can for the children here now.
Now more than ever, we are unwavering in our commitment to live out our vision and values as a school so that we can work together in these unprecedented times. We remain determined to ensure our children are given the very best care, support and learning experiences so that they continue to thrive academically, socially and spiritually and achieve life in all its fullness. We know we are leading a school in the midst of a COVID19 global pandemic and we have ensured we do so by providing a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment, with the full curriculum on offer for everyone, no matter what. From September 2020, we are once again open to all pupils full time. For more information/updates on COVID19 provision at our school, please go to the News and Events section of our website and click on the link.
I firmly believe that every child has the right to ‘Grow Together and Shine Forever’ as confident, resilient, compassionate and respectful High Ash Stars and become the very best version of themselves, no matter what their starting points. We are also aiming to create children who are creative, technologically savvy and great communicators; ready to face the exciting challenges of their future lives.
At our school we aim to combine high levels of academic attainment and progress with an equal focus on developing individuals who will also make a positive contribution to society and are able to truly live our PROUD principles and have a moral compass underpinned by Christian values. We wish them to know and understand how to be a light and inspiration to themselves and others and this was the reason the children chose ‘Let your light shine’ (Matthew 5:16) in order to represent this.
Myself and all my staff are unwavering in our commitment to ensure every child reaches their potential, through a rich curriculum, through reflection and worship and through a drive to continuously wish to improve. Our mission is to ensure we maximise the progress of every child yet add to their moral and spiritual development in order to create well rounded young people who show care and respect for others too.
If you share in this desire for your children and would like to work in partnership with us, then please feel free to contact us and come and see for yourselves the school in action!
If you are an existing parent, then please remember everyone is welcome to the half termly Parent Forums for me to continue to communicate openly with you and of course there is my weekly newsletter home every Friday which provides lots of updates.
For more information on our values, range of provision and successful track record, please look at our ‘About Us’ and ‘School Information’ pages.
I look forward to continuing to take the school forward with you.
