PE Funding

We continue to use our PE Funding to ensure all our children are engaged in physical activity and have access to a broad range of sports, clubs and competitive sports festivals and are able to swim 25m by the end of Year Six.

Please see below the impact evidence of this PE funding for 2022/23 as well as previous years.  The most recent document also includes our intent for the academic year 2023/24.

  • Continued participation in inter schools events and continuing to ensure we are able to send two teams to events to increase participation levels, including for pupils with SEND and those for whom we receive pupil premium funding.
  • Contribute to providing more subsidised after school sports opportunities as part of our wrap around care offer
  • Develop free lunchtime sports clubs to increase availability to children unable to attend after school events
  • Support use of external providers to support children and staff with looking at how sport and activity can improve mental well-being.

Our Year Fives attend swimming classes in the Summer Term at Leon School.

This year 100% of our KS2 children have attended a sports festival or event. Our Year Six football team won the League Cup, and we came second in the District Athletics.
Every child took part in Sports Day and well done to Green house for winning the Sports Day cup this year!
