Our school has the capacity to take 315 children.

  • Foundation- there are two class groups, based in one overall Foundation Unit (capacity 45) There are always two qualified teachers with the children and two teaching assistants, providing approx 1:12 ratio when full.
  • Key Stage One- We have three mixed year classes (Cherry, Cedar and Chestnut) for Years One and Two; however we do have three separate English and Maths groups which are decided based on fluid assessments. Key Stage One has a capacity of 90 children.
  • Year Three and Four- There are also three mixed year classes (Hawthorn, Hazel and Holly) who also have three separate English and Maths groups based on fluid assessments.
  • Year Five and Six- These year groups are in mixed classes for non core subjects, however there is then a four way split for English and Maths groups. This means we can not only have much smaller groups, yet also means that the learning can be better matched to needs. There are two groups in Year Five for English and Maths and two groups for Year Six. All are taught by qualified teachers.
