our Church school ethos
We are proud to be a Church of England school, funded by the Local Authority and supported by the Oxford Diocese and our local churches.
As a church school, we are inclusive of all faiths and none, with a vision for every child to live life in all its fullness, rooted in Christian values. Our purpose is to nurture successful learners who also grow morally, culturally and spiritually, becoming responsible citizens who care for others.
Our aim, “Let your light shine,” encourages children to show compassion, courage and advocacy, shaping our behaviour policy, rewards, celebrations and PROUD principles.
Children describe life here as belonging to a caring community that values differences, reflection, prayer and stories from the Bible to guide good choices. Staff highlight teamwork and the joy of shared moments in worship and reflection.
As a modern Church school, we provide space for children to ask big questions through RE and PSHE, helping them understand Christianity while respecting all faiths and cultures.
