At High Ash, we aim to provide children with a rich and engaging geography curriculum that develops both their knowledge and skills, helping them make sense of the world around them. We encourage critical thinking by enabling pupils to ask perceptive questions, analyse evidence and explain their ideas clearly. Fieldwork is a key part of our approach, with opportunities for hands-on learning built into each year group. We also nurture a strong interest in our pupils’ own locality, while helping them to understand how it compares and contrasts with other parts of the world. Throughout their journey, children gain growing confidence in using geographical concepts, terms and vocabulary with accuracy.
