Engage                        Reflect                         Aspire

Welcome to High Ash Church of England School where we all work together to provide the very best education for each and every child.

When children start at High Ash CE School we build upon their existing knowledge and understanding. We work together with parents and carers, to develop children’s lively enquiring minds. In a happy and safe environment we aim to develop each child’s skills and talents, providing them with an excellent academic foundation and the self confidence and aspiration to achieve.

We place great emphasis on engaging with the community and developing family spirit. Our children enjoy regularly celebrating in the local church. It is quite a sight to see the whole school walking through the village to St Mary’s with the older children holding the younger ones hand and encouraging them back up the hill!   The older children readily take on responsibilities throughout the school for example becoming Junior play Assistants.

The curriculum we offer is varied and enriched by many visitors to the school. Through breadth and balance we aim to meet the children's individual needs.  We help children to reflect on their learning, be resilient and willing to take on new challenges through a growth mindset approach to learning. We make full use of our beautiful location and get involved in many local initiatives.

We have an enviable record of academic success in both our National SAT’s results and grammar school entry. Our rounded curriculum develops the whole child. Children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities including, music, art, drama and sport.   We offer numerous extra curricular clubs and activities. The children have the opportunity to learn instruments, participate in school productions and take part in County Sports.

I invite you to visit and see the school in action. I look forward to meeting you soon.
