A message from our Headteacher
Welcome to our school website. We hope you find it useful and informative.
I am very proud to be the Headteacher of High Ash School and enjoy working with the children, staff, parents, Church and wider community to ensure we can be the very best we can for the children here now and all 'let our light shine'.
I firmly believe that every child has the right to ‘Grow Together and Shine Forever’ as High Ash Stars through following our PROUD principles and our school vision of letting our light shine as Good Samaritans. We want them to become the very best version of themselves, no matter what their starting points. The children chose our school motto as they felt it represented our ethos and spirit as a church school.
At our school we aim to combine high levels of academic attainment and progress with an equal focus on developing individuals who will also make a positive contribution to society and are able to truly live our PROUD principles and have a moral compass underpinned by Christian values. We wish them to know and understand how to be a light and inspiration to themselves and others and this was the reason the children chose ‘Let your light shine’ (Matthew 5:16) in order to represent this.
All the staff at High Ash are unwavering in our commitment to ensure every child reaches their potential, through a rich curriculum, through reflection and worship and through a drive to continuously wish to improve. Our mission is to ensure we maximise the progress of every child yet add to their moral and spiritual development in order to create well-rounded young people who show care and respect for others too and are compassionate citizens of the world.
If you share in this desire for your children and would like to work in partnership with us, then please feel free to contact us and come and see the school in action for yourselves!
For more information on our vision, values, curriculum and successful track record, please look at our ‘About Us’ and ‘School Information’ pages.
I look forward to continuing to take the school forward with you.
Mrs Kate Goodger
